I have a birth date of May 12, 1863 for Edward, but I'm not sure that's correct--it is on a family tree, but I do not know the source. He was definitely born in the 1861-1863 range. I'm also not sure of his middle name; it is listed as Meriwether, but an older sister has that for her middle name, so I'm not sure if their parents would have used the same middle name for more than one child.

Edward was a farmer and did not marry. Although he died in Nashville, his usual residence was in Montgomery County. I have not found him on any censuses after 1870, but I believe he probably farmed in Montgomery County for his entire life. Please let me know if you have additional information.
