Arlene was born in Dows on Sep. 4, 1917, the daughter of Adolf and Emelia (Draves) Iverson. Residing in Story City and Ames throughout her life, Arlene worked for the Telephone Company and Iowa State Memorial Union. She was a regular volunteer at Heartland Senior Services of Story County, and a long-time member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Arlene loved to do yard work, take walks around Ames, and enjoyed watching her ISU Sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Emelia Iverson; brother, Elwood Iverson; sisters, Mamie Bauge, Vlola Bergeson, and Ilene Wilhelm; and daughter, Marlene Bird.
