Mr. Spell was born July 25, 1947 in Jeff Davis County to the late Arvin Francis Spell and the late Willie Lee Cooper Spell.
He was a former school teacher with Jeff Davis Board of Education, an Artist and of the Methodist Faith. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Carter, Rosa McElveen, Arvin F. Spell II, Bobby Spell and Otis Herrington.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Beth Brewer Spell of Statesboro; daughter, Jennifer Spell of Decatur; son, Sean Spell of Statesboro; sister, Betty Cain of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews also survived.
A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 16, 2018, from 5:30-7:30pm at the Averitt Art Center, Whitaker Black Box Theatre/Rosengard Gallery located at 41 West Main Street, Statesboro, Georgia.
