Gerald H "Jerry" Shelnutt, 75, Grain Valley,Mo, formerly of Columbia,Mo, passed away Sunday March 11, 2018 at the Redwood of Blue River Rehabilitation Center in Kansas City, Mo. He was born April 6, 1942 the son of Hobart and Mary Lou (Porter) Shelnutt.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his Mother; Mary Lou Shelnutt of Sturgeon, Mo; Son; Grant Shelnutt and his wife Sarah, of Kansas City Mo; Daughter; Janet White of Blue Springs, Mo; Sister Betty McKenzie and her husband Larry, of Clark Mo; Grandchildren; Audrey White and Hayden White; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his father, his wife Faye Shelnutt preceded him in death.

Jerry worked as a maintenance man for several businesses around Columbia and later owned JS Services. He was a member of Perche Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, birds, barbecue and making his famous chili.
