Stapleton - Suddenly, near Bear Station, Del., on July 31, 1902, Francis B. beloved son of Martin and Harriet (Hetty) Stapleton, in his 32d year.

Relatives and friend are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the residence of his father, Martin Stapleton, near Bear STation, on Monday morning, Aug. 4, to leave the house at 8 o'clock sharp. High Mass at St. Peter's Church, New Castle at 9:30 o'clock. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery.

Note: Killed by Train near Bear Station while on his way to his father's farm on State Road, towards Smally damn, which is where Governor Square now sits, named after Gov. who purchased farm at orphan's auction when father Martin Stapleton passed away.
