A native Akronite, and an avid bowler, bowled 52 consecutive years in the annual Knight of Columbus bowling tournaments. Continued boling twice a week until just before his death in 1971.
He was a retired pharmacist, and co-owner of the Biddle and Newkome Pharmacy on Howard St., in North Hill, Akron.
He served in the U.S. Army and earned a Silver Star during WWI. Memebr of St. Martha's Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus Counil 547.
He married Mildred Trudeau in 1936. She passed away in 1995.
