Billy Kines, 85, died Dec. 15 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Services were held Dec. 19 at Little Hope Cemetery in Beech Grove under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughter Jo Kines of Dickinson; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Husband of Myrtle Bailey Martindale Kines

Billy Kines, 85, of Jasper, passed away December 15, 2006 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. A native of Terrell, Texas, he had lived in Jasper for over sixty years and had worked for many years as a supply clerk for the Louisiana Pacific Corp. Mr. Kines also worked for a long time at the Old Folks Service Station on Highway 96 in Jasper. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Little Hope Cemetery in Beech Grove under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home of Jasper. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Carlton Kines in 1972 and by his wife, Myrtle Kines in 2002. Survivors include his daughter, Jo Kines; along with 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grand children.
