McCoy, Mrs. Joan Wilhoit - age 58, of South Knoxville, passed away Wednesday at Baptist Hospital. She was a Christian and an active charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors: husband, Glen McCoy; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mickey French; son, Tim McCoy; grandson, Michael Shane French; sisters, Bonnie Cannon, Ethel Sawyers, Blanche Barton, Edna Bettis; brother, Libern Payne. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, Fellowship Baptist Church, Rev. Arnold King, Rev. Gordon Greenwell, officiating. Interment New Hopewell Cemetery. Pallbearers: Phil, Greg, and Jeff Payne, Doug McNeil, Jimmy Lowe, Jerry Mitchell. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Berry Funeral Home.
