Leonard Leo Gabriel, Jr., 65, of Dillwyn passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born July 13, 1952 in Bay, Florida, the son of the late Leonard Gabriel, Sr. and Betty Gabriel.
Leonard served in the U. S. Army in Korea. He was last employed by Wal-Mart DC 7016.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Lyle Gabriel; five children, Christina Gabriel, Tara Gabriel, Amanda Gabriel, Leonard “Lenny” Gabriel (Rachel) and amber Maddox; brother, Michael Gabriel (Kathy); two sisters, Donna Largan (George) and Lenetta Jackson (Ernest); father-in-law, Willie A. Lyle; three sisters-in-law, Shelly Kitchen (Earl), Amy Benson (Jeff) and Tracy Carter; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph Gabriel and James Gabriel and mother-in-law, Katherine Lyle.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Lynchburg General Pulmonary Floor for the wonderful care given Leonard.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Antioch Union Baptist Church.
