Alexander Bertram. 77. a Yonkers resident for 70 years,
died Monday at Yonkers Professional Hospital after an
extended illness.
Born Jan. 26, 1900 in New York City, he was a commercial
painter until he retired in 1960. He was a member
of the Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators and Wallpaper
Hangers. District 20. and a parishioner of St. Mary's
Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Michael
(Karen) Hetcher. Mrs. Henry (Kathleen) Hettinger and
Nancy Bertram, all of Yonkers: two sons, William of Texas
and John of the Bronx: and four grandchildren.
The body will be in repose at the Flower Funeral Home
on New Main Street Tuesday and Wednesday. Funeral
services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m., followed by interment
at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
