Billy Mixon Colvin, 77, of Chattanooga, died peacefully on March 7, 2018.
Mr. Colvin was a member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church in Lookout Valley for the past seven years. A former resident of Decatur, Alabama, Mr. Colvin was formerly a member of Central United Methodist Church, very active in the Loaves and Fishes Ministry for more than 10 years. Additionally, he volunteered more than 10 years at Decatur General Hospital, visiting patients and volunteering for other services there as needed. He retired from Morrison Health Care, Inc after 35 years of faithful service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtis and Artis Colvin.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jann Colvin; son, Joseph Colvin of Red Bank; granddaughter, Emily Colvin of Murfreesboro; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary Frances Colvin of Ruston, LA; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Wauhatchie United Methodist Church, 3401 Cumming Highway, Chattanooga, with Pastor Tommy Messer officiating.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the services.
A graveside service and burial will be conducted Monday, March 13, 2018, at 2:00 PM at New Prospect Garden of Memories Cemetery, Ruston, Louisiana.
