Grover C. Whitt, 59, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Monday, March 5, 2018 at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston, WV.
He was born April 26, 1958 in Holden, WV a son of the late Andrew and Mollie Whitt.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Franklin D. Whitt, Wayne “Andy” Whitt, Danford Whitt, Eugene Whitt and Phyllis, Floria Mae and Fredia and his father-in-law, Jasper Nagy.
Grover enjoyed driving trucks, four wheeling, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sandra Whitt; one son, Jonathan (Ashley) Whitt of Chapmanville; one daughter, Ashley (Barry) Hensley of Chapmanville; one brother, Bobby Whitt of Ohio; one sister, Goldie Musik of Ohio; five grandchildren, Hannah, Jasper, Jordan, Madison and Mollie; and his mother-in-law, Brenda Wells of Ohio.
Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitt Cemetery, Crawley, Chapmanville, WV.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Whitt, Ronald “Tankie” Dingess, Dwayne Adkins, Charles “Chuckie” Adkins, Chris Dorton and Michael Nagy.
