Gayle was called home while surrounded by her loving family on March 1, 2018.
Mom was born on April 18, 1937 to Lee and Gayle Bailey in Twin Falls, Idaho. A short time later, the family moved to Nephi, Utah where she spent her childhood and teenage years.
From the time she reigned as Ute Stampede Queen until she took her last breath, she was always a picture of perfection. In 1955, Dad swept her off her feet and they were married in the Manti Temple on September 7th. A short time later, they welcomed Ann to their little nest and soon to follow were Sue, Jill and Doug. Her greatest joy was her 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She never missed a concert, game or performance.
She is survived by her husband and sweetheart, Carl Rasmussen; daughters Ann (Clay) Dahl, Sue (Bob) Stringham and Jill (Joel) LaSalle and her son Doug (Julie) Rasmussen. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the LDS Chapel located at 1320 East 1975 South, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may visit from 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment Fountain Green Cemetery, Fountain Green, Utah.
