Miss Faye Lucille Upton, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Hospice of Wendover.
She was born on November 23, 1919 in Gaston County to Dorsey C. and Carrie Yount Upton.
She retired after 42 years with the Lincoln County School System as a teacher and librarian.
Miss Upton was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Lincoln County Senior Council Group, a coordinator for Meals-on-Wheels in Lincoln County and was a former clerk for 25 years for the South Mountain Baptist Association.
She is survived by three sisters.
