Her husband had contracted tuberculosis during the War, and it gradually sapped life from him until he died March 24th, 1921.
Edna cared for her parents throughout her life, helping to run their home as a boarding house. She was actively involved in the Royal Neighbors of America Insurance as well, serving in many capacities within the organization to include Oracle.
After the death of Emery, she kept his name throughout the rest of her life and never remarried.

Edna Mae Larock, 65, of Route 3, Woodstock, died at home, Friday, February 9.
She was born in Cary, on February 24, 1896, the daughter of Martin and Anna Hines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery.
She is the aunt of Pearl Ingles, Gladis McDaniel and Harry Hines, all of Rockford, and the sister-in-law of Emily Hines of Woodstock and Louise Story of Rockford.
The funeral was at Schneider-Leucht chapel at 1:30 this afternoon with the Rev. A. Stanley Beck officiating. Intermit [sic] was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodstock.
