He was born in Lafayette, on November 1, 1950 to the late Charles Henry & Elizabeth (McCall) Dexter.
Larry graduated from Darlington High School in 1968 and proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. On April 18, 1974 in Mace, he married the love of his life, Sharon Kay (Davis) Dexter, who survives.
He was a life-long truck driver who enjoyed camping, playing volleyball with his family and watching racing, football, and boxing on TV.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; three sons, Larry Dexter Jr. of Crawfordsville, Michael Dexter and Joey Dexter, both of Brownsburg; two daughters, Tammi Hipsher of Indianapolis and Daphne Dexter of Dallas Texas; one brother, Jerry (Pam) Dexter of Lafayette; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way.
