On September 18, 1965, he married Patricia J. (Lindsay) and she preceded him in death December 22, 1998.
John was a Civil Engineer for the State of Florida for 18 years; was a veteran with four years of service in the U.S. Army followed by eight years in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John W. Jr. and Stacey R. Brown, Robinson, IL; one grandson, Evan W. Brown, Robinson, IL; two sisters, LaFaun Neal, Lexington, KY and Louise Smith of Virginia.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Patricia J. Brown; brothers, Berlyn Brown, Jack Brown Sr., Finley Brown; sisters, Jane Keaton and Virginia Wasson.
