A visitation will be held for Ms. Emmy G. Brister on April 12, 2023, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon, with graveside services to follow in the Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Davis will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Brister, 88, formerly of Lincoln County, Mississippi, passed from this life on April 8, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 29, 1934 in Heidelburg, Germany, to Joseph and Elizabeth Seeberger. She lived the last thirty years of her life in Zachary, Louisiana where she volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at Lane Regional Hospital.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Travis Brister; her parents; and two sons, Audrey and Peter Brister.

She is survived by her children; Elizabeth Goudeau (Jeff) of Zachary, LA, and Steve Brister (Brooke) of Denham Springs, LA; four granddaughters, Christina Granger (Cody), Ashley Stovall (Jake), Kaitlyn Capro (Justin), and Emilee Denicola; and two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Raelyn.
