Funeral services for Virgil Raymond Armstrong of Minco were held Tuesday at Cogar Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Metcale and Rev. Kent Wood officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco.
Mr. Armstrong died Saturday at Parkview Hospital. He was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Minco and was a lifetime resident. He was a farmer and was selected as the Caddo County REA Family Farmer of the Month. He was a member of Cogar Methodist Church, Minco Rodeo Club and a charter member of the Minco Trail Riders.
He is survived by his wife, Wanetta of the home; daughters, Rita Croney and Sarah Rumley, both of Minco; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
