JONAS PETER JOHANSON, living with his son, August Johnson, a few miles east of Taylor, came to Texas with his wife in 1901. He was born in Näfvelsjö, Småland and owned the farm of Uppakra in Vallsjo. In 1873, he married Anna Maria
Andersdotter, born in 1837 in Uppäkra, Vallsjö parish, Småland. She died in her sons home in Taylor in March, 1916 after a long illness.
There are five children in the family, and one daughter is living in Göteborg, Sweden. Their daughter, Hilda, is married to Gustaf Olson and lives near Taylor; Anna is married to Carl Ekdahl in Brushy; their sons, August and Ernest, are single.
