Martha Jane Woods was born November 25, 1851 in Johnson County, Indiana and departed this life March 27, 1931, at the home of her son O. L. Woods near Coldwater, Kansas.
In May, 1869, she was united in marriage to John H. Woods, and to this union eight children were born, four have preceded her in death.
Her husband passed away at this place March 16, 1926. Since that time Mrs. Woods made her home with her son, O. L. Woods and family.
She, with her husband and family, came to Stafford County, Kansas in the year 1888 and lived in this community for many years.
Very early in life she confessed her love for Jeses and ever remained true to Him.
