W. H. Dickinson, son of Shadrack Dickinson and his wife Sarah Mildren "Sally" Foreman Dickinson, died from Typhoid fever. His brother, Isaac, took him to the graveyard of the 10th Alabama in Bristoe, VA to be buried.

There is an article in the Democratic Watchtower newspaper of Talladega, Al, Nov 6, 1861, regarding the death of W. H. Dickinson. In addition, there is a letter written by his brother Isaac to their parents informing them of his death.
