Doris Christenson, 76, of Dwight, IL passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Dwight, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dwight, IL with Father Chris Haake officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of services on Monday at the church. Burial will follow services at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dwight, IL. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight is in charge of arrangements.
Doris was born April 20, 1941 in Kankakee, IL a daughter of Adam and Viola (Nielsen) Fritz. She married John R. Christenson in December of 1969 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dwight, IL. Her husband, parents and a daughter in infancy, Linda, preceded her in death.
She is survived by son: Jim (Audra) Christenson of Aurora; sister, Rosemary Beasley of Metropolis, IL; grandchildren, Annika and Ava Christenson of Aurora; mother-in-law, Dorothy Christenson of Dwight; brother-in-laws, Don (Darnell) Christenson of Dwight, David (Barb) Christenson of Oshkosh, WI, Tom (Becky) Christenson of Dwight; sister-in-law, Carol (Mike) Hutchings of Morris; several nieces and nephews.
Doris was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Dwight Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed her morning coffee club as well as baking, gardening and crafts.
