Lena M. Saltzman, 67, a former Pinckneyville area resident, died in St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., following a lengthy illness.
A graduate of Southern Illinois University and Indiana University, she taught at North High School in Evansville, Indiana prior to her illness.
She is survived by her mother, Zoe Gruner; and three sisters, Ernestine Provart, Mabel Harris and Gay Fowler, all of St. Louis. Her husband, Edward, preceded her in death June 13, 1967.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday from Doerr Funeral Chapel, Pinckneyville, with interment in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today until time of services.
