Curtis Ray Hays, 77, of Midland, died Wednesday, Jan 14. Memorial services have been scheduled for 1pm today, Jan 17 at Crestview Baptist Church with Dr John Gerlach officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born Oct 17, 1926 to David and Lola Hays in Turkey and was raised in Monahans. After graduating from Monahans High School in 1947, he attended business school in Abilene. He was employed with Texaco and retired in 1989 after 42 years. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his first wife; his parents and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife Nadine AHys of Midland; two daughters Lola Swint of Trenton, Mo., and Cathy Landon of New York City, NY.; two stepchildren, Sharon Gaines of Abilene, and Larry Hicks of Seguin; Sister Opal Battel of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren; and four great granddaughters.
Memorials may be directed to Forward in Fait, Crestview Baptist Church, 3300 Thomas Ave., Midland, Texas 79703 or the charity of ones choice.
