Emily Reed Ellenberg, 67, wife of William G. "Bill" Ellenberg, Jr., died February 28, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Whitmire, February 10, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Guy Charles Reed and Elizabeth King Reed. Emily was a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Emmanuel College in Franklin GA. She was employed by the Greenwood School District 50 Administration Office for over 29 years and was a member of North Side Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are her three children, Suzanne Simons and husband Dr. Locke Simons and Gray Ellenberg and wife Fran, all of Greenwood and Nancy Nickles and husband John Patrick Nickles of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Graham, Grayson and Thomas Ellenberg, Emily, Grier and Reed Nickles and William and Grant Simons; three sisters, Susan Beacham and husband Dr. A.D. Beacham and Rebecca Shirey and husband Rt. Col. Lou Shirey, all of Oklahoma City OK and Donna Soboslai and husband Peter Soboslai of Greenwood. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Reed and a sister, Karen Sorrow. Burial in Oakbrook Memorial Park. Blyth Funeral Home.
