He attended Hollister High School and that is where he met George Ruth Ball. They married on 23 Dec 1944. (another record says 1945)
They moved to Dalhart, Dallam, Texas along with Jess and Leafie Ball. It is there that Georgia Ruth gave birth to Phillip Royce Benge.
They had another son, MIchael, also in Texas. Jess and Leafie came back to Oklahoma around 1954 and Alven moved his family to Amarillo. It is there that he died on 28 Feb 2008.
