Daughter of William Chanley and Sarah Miles.
Birth date conflict. Barbara’s sister Emma has an April 1869 birth date, while Barbara is claiming a July 1869 birth date. Either the girls were twins or they are actually a year apart. Sister Emma does not show up on the 1870 census, so more than likely her birth year is incorrect.

Married to Tolbert Brown on 16 October 1889 in Dubois County, Indiana
