Nancy was the daughter of Martin Luther Syphrett and "Mamie" Mary Georgine Josephine Jones Murdock Syphrett. Her half-siblings were Annie Orlean Murdock, Lucille Murdock and William Boyd Murdock, Sr. Her husband was Clyde Detty and her son was Bill Detty.
One interesting note: "B." was her middle name. It did not stand for anything... It was just the letter "B.".

Nancy S. Detty, age 86, a resident of Kerrville, Texas, for twenty years, passed away Monday, May 30, 2005 in a local hospital. She was born October 23, 1918 in Houston to Luther and Mamie (Jones) Syphrett. On July 3, 1952, she married Clyde Detty in Wallingford, Pennsylvania.
Nancy was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include husband, Clyde Detty and son, Bill Detty both of Kerrville; niece, Barbara Moore Kauffman and husband, Jim of Dallas; and two nephews, Fred A. Moore, Jr. and wife, Edie of Belen, New Mexico and Maurice Murdock and wife, Pat of Mena, Arkansas.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 3, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville, officiated by Mr. Ron Briley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
