Mary Louise Lattavo – Marchino,

Sept. 15, 1917 – Nov. 3, 2017

Daughter of the late Eleuterio and Concetta Lattavo, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Nick, Ormond “Chick”, Arthur, Alfred, and Gilbert Lattavo. Mary was devoutly involved with her family and her faith. A child of immigrant parents, Mary embraced the immigrant work ethic and the American way of Life. Mary graduated from McKinley High School. She was a bookkeeper for the family trucking business, Lattavo Bros. Mary enjoyed dancing and met her husband Charles J. Marchino of almost 70 years through mutual friends at Meyers Lake Ballroom. Mary is survived by her husband Charles J. Marchino, four children, Grace Mary Fein of Canton, Anthony (Dianne) of El Paso, TX, Mark (Rebecca) of Malvern, and Joan (Jim) Ellinghausen of Atlanta. Mary had 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mary enjoyed gardening and was an elected official of the Canton Garden Club. Mary maintained and cultivated a vegetable garden at home annually until the age of 90. Mary was a frequent volunteer at the House of Loreto, and in the winter time she would visit friends and family in Clearwater, and Naples, Florida. Weekly, Mary would attend mass at the House of Loreto, the Sancta Clara Monastery, Our Lady of Peace and St. Peter Catholic churches. A friend of Sister Angelica, she daily said the Rosary with her on the Television Broadcast of EWTN. Mary enjoyed many activities but all paled when it came to her family. For decades Sunday dinner or 20 plus family members was not uncommon. Mary will be missed however she will rejoice in the Presence of Our lord forever. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am in Christ the Servant Parish (formerly Our Lady of Peace) with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano celebrant. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
