Slover Rites
Mrs. MARY L. SLOVER, a pioneer resident of Sulphur, passed away at the Confederate Home at Ardmore Wednesday morning. Funeral services are scheduled in Ardmore Friday morning, place not yet announced. Members of the Eastern Star will attend. She is survived by one son, THOMAS A. WEBB of San Antonio, Texas and as stepson, Dr. GEORGE SLOVER of Sulphur. Burial will be at the Ardmore cemetery. Mrs. Slover had lived at Sulphur for a half century and had resided at the Confederate Home for several months. (From Gen Forum transcript by Nita Sulphur Times Democrat)

(Tombstone has middle initial as "E.", but is documented as "L." over the years and in her obituary) [The "L." in documentation is likely for her maiden name. Many family trees have that Mary's maiden name is Carter in error.]]
