FORT WORTH - Ida Teeters Lewis, 89, lost her battle with lymphoma Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018.
Born Jan 14, 1929 to Loy and Stella Bingham, Ida grew up in the rural areas around Glen Rose. She was a good student, graduating from Cleburne High School with a scholarship to TCU. She married Dallas Teeters in 1947 and settled in Fort Worth, raising four children.
She was a homemaker and Sunday school teacher who later worked in sales and bookkeeping, eventually becoming Personnel Mgr. for Dillard's Dept. store for 10 years. She would go on to start her own business and manage retail stores until she retired in her 70s.
She was devoted to her faith and her family. She was remarkable, loving and beautiful; our rock and our soft place to land.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Loy and Stella Bingham; husband, Dallas Teeters; husband, Jack Lewis; son-in-law, Larry Spigler; and grandsons, Brad Spigler and Chuck Grissom.
Surviivors: Brother, Thelton Bingham and wife, Fay; daughter, Angie Hawkins and husband, Jon; daughter, Pam Spigler; son, Dallas Teeters Jr. and wife, Karen; daughter, Rhonda Teeters; grandson, Dallas Teeters III; granddaughters, Andie Coffin, Stevie Arledge and husband, Scott, and Lauren Teeters; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
