PFC US ARMY ORD DET 44th ART. C.A.C. WORLD WAR I


FRANKLIN GROVE -- William H. Haenitsch, 77, a life-long rural Franklin Grove resident, died this morning in KSB Hospital, Dixon.


Mr. Haenitsch was born Aug. 26, 1888, in Ashton Township, the son of August and Margaret Gliem Haenitsch.

He was married in 1914 to Ruth Cruse, who died in 1917.

He married Lucie Beaber Oct. 11, 1928.

A veteran of World War I, Mr. Haenitsch was a member of the Lions Club and Presbyterian Church here.


Mr. Haenitsch was preceded in death in addition to his first wife, by a son, five grandchildren, a brother and two sisters.


Survivors include his widow; five sons, Albert, Rockford: Melvin, Ashton: Ronald and Gary, both of Dixon, and Stanley, Franklin Grove; four daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Jean) Hubbell, Mrs. Fred (Joan) Floto and Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Antoine, all of Franklin Grove, and Mrs. Raymond (Rosemary) Beaird, Hazelcrest: 23 grandchildren and a sister, Miss Lillian Haenitsch, Ashton.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. H. C. Montanus, Ottawa, a former pastor here, officiating.

Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening in the Haenitsch home.

Arrangements were completed by Cluts Funeral Home, Rochelle.
