MRS. CORA WILLIS

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Willis, 76, of Second and Jefferson Sts., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lynn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Willis died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday at Portsmouth General Hospital, where she was admitted Dec. 24.
She was born Jan. 27, 1882, in Rawleigh County, W.Va., a daughter of Ballard and Martha Terry.
Surviving are three sons, Harry Willis, 1515 Sixth St., Foster Willis, 714 Eighth St., and Earl Willis of Detroit; three daughters, Mrs. J.E. Lilly, of Charleston, W.Va.; Mrs. Rose Pauley, of Lindavista, Calif., and Mrs. Violet Francis, 1011 Front St. Two brothers, Lonnie Terry and Gus Terry, both of Sophia, W.Va.; sister, Mrs. Betty Pittman, of Charleston, W.Va.; 29 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, E.F. Willis.
She had lived in Portsmouth about 30 years.
Rev. Bernard Knox will officiate. Burial will be in Batterson Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Martha and Ballard married in 1895 after Ballard's first wife died. Martha was Cora's stepmother.
