Mr. White was an Army veteran. He worked in the tool and dye department al Alcoa for 18 years, and later worked for Sears for 13 years as a division manager in appliances. He was a member of St. Paul Community Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 11, and 40&9 Voiture 364.
Surviving with his wife are his children, Jeffrey Allan White and Kristie (husband Dan) Dowell, both of Lafayette; two stepsons, Gary D. (wife Teresa) Foreman of Louisville, KY, and William T. (wife Heather) of Lafayette; three sisters, Fran (husband Michael) Alkire, Marilyn Galloway, and Martha Northrup, all of Lafayette; and 13 grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. White.
