Youngest child of James Anderson and Ann Clark Pearce of Louisville, Kentucky. She and her husband had no children of their own, but when her sister, Sarah Pearce Vick, died at Vicksburg, Mississippi in May 1850, both Henry and James Ann began to have extended visits from her Vick nieces and nephew. Henry Grey, Mary Bullock, George Rogers Clark, and Ann Pearce Vick. James Ann died of uremia and senility at the age of 86 and was buried next to her husband at the Lexington Cemetery.
