She had been ill five days suffering from a fractured hip.
Born in Jackson Township (Pike County), Feb 26, 1882, she was a daughter of Ephraim and Lydia Ray Russell.
Surviving are four sons, Olan, Edward, Clyde and Walter Allen, all of Beaver Rt. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Belvia Sanders, of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Hatfield of Chillicothe and Mrs. Sarah Downey of Columbus and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Samuel Allen and a daughter.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Chapel Church with Rev. James Viars officiating. Burial is to be in Allen Chapel Cemetery under direction of Hammertein Funeral Home, Beaver.
