"Adrian S. 'Bill' Hayes, 90, of Sistersville died Aug. 28, 2004, at Sistersville Center.

"He was born March 9, 1914, in Friendly, W.Va., a son of the late Theodore Porter and Rosa Smallwood Hayes. He was a carpenter and a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ.

"He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Doty Hayes; sons, Bill (Martha) Hayes of Lebanon, Pa., Randy (Diane) Hayes of Paden City, W.Va., and Terry (Bobbie) Hayes of New Martinsville, W.Va.; a daughter, Connie Sue (Bob) Krass of New Jersey; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

"He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Ida LeMasters Hayes; a son, Roger Neal Hayes; brothers, Porter, Glenn, Robert, Layman "Shorty" and Truman; and sisters, Margarett Clough, Grace Richmond, Kate Stewart and Mildred Umblebee.

"Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, with Evangelist Jerry Toothman officiating. Burial will be in LeMasters Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home."
