Died, at his residence two and one-half miles west of Oneida and two miles east of Ontario, Mr. Samuel Edwards, on Sunday Feb. 11. He was sick but one week with pneumonia. Part of the last few days his doctor was with him all of the time and there were strong hopes on Saturday evening that he would recover but the disease had taken such a deep hold on him that at 2 o'clock Sunday a.m. he began to sink and at 4:30 (?) he passed away. He leaves a wife and two children, the youngest but two years old, to sadly miss his presence and kind provision. A father, four brothers and four sisters mourn a son and brother. He was a man that was well known and liked. His circle of friends was very large as was shown by the large attendance at the funeral, which took place from his former home Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. He was buried in the Oneida cemetery. Rev. John Pugh officating.

A card of thanks was also printed elsewhere in this issue of newspaper.
