Lorraine was united in marriage to Gerhardt Kulke on September 24, 1940. She loved gardening and flowers. Lorraine enjoyed canning and volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Shop in Watertown. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, serving as secretary for many years. When her grandchildren were young and they came to the farm, she would take them on "Nature Walks" down to the river and back home through the woods.
