Darryl Alexander, 78, of Irvington died Tuesday Feb. 20, 2018 at his residence.

Darryl worked for Olin Corporation for 37 years, was member of Irvington Baptist Church for 66 years where he served as a deacon. He was an avid golfer & loved Hillcrest Country Club. His favorite past time was spending time with his grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

He was born August 3, 1939 to the late Arthur “Duck” & Hallie Rose (Mills) Alexander. His was Preceded in death by great-grandson “Baseball Buddy” Rhodes Edward Jackson. He is survived by his wife Rosemary Alexander; two children Cherri (Andy) Rhodes, & Stephen Alexander; a sister Rosemary (Dennis) Cornett, Brothers Jimmy (Nancy) Alexander, Vic (Sue) Alexander, Bruce (Patti) Alexander; three Grandchildren, & four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday Feb. 23, 2018 at 1 PM EST at the Alexander Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
