Harry E. Bowers Sr., 66, of Saint Clair, passed away Wednesday at his home.

He was born in Pottsville, June 18, 1951, a son of the late Robert Patterson Bowers and Margaret Mae Nye Bowers.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. He worked as a foreman at a cogeneration plant.

Harry is survived by his wife, Christine McNulty Bowers, to whom he was married for 32 years; daughter, Colleen, wife of William Hunter, Port Carbon; son, Joel Stephany, Tower City; son, Harry E. Bowers Jr., Schuylkill Haven; daughter, Margaret Mae, wife of Jeffrey Searfoss, Saint Clair; daughter, Miranda Bowers, fiancee of Eric Minnick, Pottsville; daughter, Yvonne, wife of Steven Mattera, Pottsville; daughter, Jamie Jo Bowers, fiancee of Charles Bobinis, Saint Clair; son, Jonathan Bowers, fiance of Ann Marie Fetterolf, Minersville; daughter, Kristen Bowers, fiancee of Timothy Ogden, Pottsville; daughter, Samantha Howe, Minersville; daughter, Shana, wife of Michael Scanlan, Minersville; daughter, Kaitlin Bowers, Saint Clair; daughter, Courtney Bowers, Saint Clair. Harry is also survived by two sisters, Ida Tranquillo, Pottsville, and Peggy Schultz, wife of Michael, Llewellyn; brother, Bill Bowers, husband of Celie, Forestville; 20 grandchildren and "4 buns in the oven," 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A religious service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc., Saint Clair, with the Rev. Harold Hand officiating. Interment will be held at Zion's Red Church Cemetery in Orwigsburg. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family would appreciate contributions to Geisinger Hematology and Oncology, 700 E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, PA 17901. James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc., Saint Clair, is in charge of arrangements.
