Mr. Sexton was employed as a rancher for Tejon Ranch for 10 years and for Camp & Lachenmaier, and Phil Jeffries for 19 years. He also farmed his own ranch at the same time. He was a member of the Kern County Farm Bureau and the Porterville Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, daughters, step-children, a brother, Marvin Sexton of California; sisters, Faye Sen of Shafter, Juanita Whitlock of Porterville and Ailene Combs of Lodi; and five grandchildren.
