Sophia Ellis passed away peacefully in her home on January 6, 2018 at the age of 101.
She is survived by her sons, daughter, sister, 13 grandkids, 19 great grandkids, eight great great grandkids and several much loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace and her son, Gregory Ellis.
Sophia moved to Auburn in 1951 and worked at the Montgomery Ward catalog desk for 26 years. She faithfully attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Ladies Relief Society. She loved her church and church family.
A Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. on February 19, 2018, Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow in the church hall. A private interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that those who wish to honor the memory of Sophia to make a donation to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
