Joan K. (Johnson) Schoenecker, age 91, of Mound, MN, died Sunday, February 18, 2018, at her daughter's residence in Chaska, MN.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 2385 Commerce Blvd., Mound, MN, with Father Tony O’Neill presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
Joan was born March 1, 1926 in Erin Prairie, WI, to William and Veronica (Meath) McGinley, one of 8 children. She was active in the Gillespie Center, the Red Hats Club, Golfing, The Garden Club, VFW Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She has spent the last 10 years in Florida over the winter, either in Naples or the Villages where she enjoyed playing golf and seeing friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Donald Johnson and Dutch Schoenecker.
Survivors include her loving children, Candace (Bruce) Lundgren of Chaska, Terry (Pam) Johnson of Chaska, Tom Johnson (fiancee’, Colleen Snapp) of Chaska; grandchildren, Tim (Carrie) Lundgren, Jessica (Ryan) Trebil, Eric Johnson, Laura Johnson; great grandchildren, Lily, Jack and Ivy Lundgren, Dylan, Tommy and Brenden Trebil; siblings, two sisters, Noreen McGinley and Elaine Gilbertson, and one brother, Bill McGinley.
