Beverly L. Atkinson, 84 of Indianapolis passed away at home surrounded by family on January 12, 2018. She was born on August 29, 1933 in San Francisco, CA to Joseph and Bertha Bailey and moved to Indianapolis in 1947.
She married John Atkinson in 1950 and spent the next 16 years raising 9 children. She went to work for Kroger and remained with that company for 23 years before deciding to retire so she could travel and spend time with her grandchildren.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, John, sons, Larry and Chris, and grandsons, Marty and Robert.
She is survived by daughter Lynne (Kevin) Corydon and sons, John (Jan), Jim (Sally), Joe (Debbie), George, Gary (Sue) and Danny; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with funeral services immediately following at the Gothic Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery (34th & Boulevard entrance)
