In 1936, the family moved to the Vancouver, Wash., area, then to Sarah, Wash., before settling in Galvin.

Stone enjoyed her home, living there for 60 years until the flood in 1996 destroyed her dwelling. She moved to Oakville to live with her daughter.

On Feb. 7, 1931, she married Earl E. Stone. They owned and operated Stone's Veltex service station on First Street in Centralia, and later owned and operated Stone's Enco station on North Pearl Street.

She also worked for Churchill Glove Factory for several years. Her enjoyments included her family and friends, gardening and giving her produce away, canning, flowers and keeping up her yard.

Survivors include two sons, Val Jean O. Stone of Centralia, and Norman Stone of Oakville; a daughter, Erlene "Babe" Stone of Oakville; two sisters, Ann Smith of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and Pauline Carlile of Sedalia, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
