His mother died when he was 8 years old after which Bill went to live with his Grandparents in Lineville, IA, when he was 11 years old due to his father's health related problems. He married Grace May Johnson in 1951; Lynn Nina Branham was born to them in 1953. Grace died in 1964 and Bill moved with Lynn to Orlando, FL, shortly thereafter. He then moved to Gainesville, FL; after remarrying he had Lois, Clyde, May Lee, Joseph, and Scott; in addition he had Timothy, Victoria, and Steven as step-children.
For most of his life, Bill was employed as an insurance underwriter from which he retired in 1994. He was a dedicated family man and was very humble. Bill was a priesthood holder as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bill's daughter, Lynn, preceded him in death in 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Antoinette Pridgeon Branham; his daughters, Lois, May Lee, and Victoria; his sons, Clyde, Timothy, Steven, Joseph, and Scott; and grandaughters, Christy, Jamie, Susan, Alicia, Rachel, Tamara, Elizabeth; and grandsons, Stephen, T.J., Joseph, Jacob, and Carson.
Funeral services were held on February 12, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gainesville, FL. Burial followed in in Lineville, IA.
