WATERBURY — Mr. Anthony A. Petto, of Waterbury, died Fri­day, March 30, 2007, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the hus­band of Phyllis (Pelosi) Petto.
Mr. Petto was born in Waterbury, son of the late John and Amelia (Roberto) Petto. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 88th Infantry, having served dur­ing World War II. He worked for CL&P for many years before retir­ing in 1982 and was an active com­municant of St. Lucy's Church, where he served as a reader and Eucharistic Minister, and he was a member of the St. Lucy's Holy Name Society. Mr. Petto was also a member of the Knights of Colum­bus, 4th degree and a member of the Knights of Columbus Color Guard.
Besides his loving wife of 60 years, he leaves a son, John J. Petto of Waterbury; a daughter, Donna Marie Olivieri and her hus­band, John, of Watertown; four sis­ters, Susan Vuolo of Waterbury, Helen Gaudiosi of Seymour, Yolanda Zarrella of Bethlehem and Josephine LoRusso of Wood­bury; two grandchildren, Eric and Anthony Olivieri; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Military funeral will be held Tuesday, at 9 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Fu­neral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, to St. Lucy's Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Members of St. Lucy's Holy Name Society will meet at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to St. John the Evangelist School Build­ing Fund, 21 Academy Hill, Water­town 06795; or St. Lucy's Church, 24 Branch St., Waterbury 06704.
