Clara Caroline Hoffman was born to Mathilda Kiesz and John W Hoffman on November 21, 1921, at Bowdle, South Dakota, and died February 10, 2018, at Ashley. She married Jacob Kost at Greenway, South Dakota, on June 24, 1943.
Clara was well known for her quilting skills, gardening and green thumb, especially growing African Violets. Along with her husband, they ran a Chuckwagon service at local auctions and other events.
Survived by a son and three daughters along with their extended families; a brother and two sisters-in-law.
Preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Gary Johnson; brother, Gordon Hoffmann; and sisters, Violet Breitling, Edna Dahlstrom, Emma Baumann and Gertrude Gesinger.
